On the road agian

It's been some time since I updated this blog, but let me bring you up to speed. I am currently in Vancouver Washington getting ready to do my 7th after grad party. These shows are a lot of fun but do come with some crazy hours.

My first show was in Coquitlam BC and as you can see the bus was parked in front of the main doors of the school. What a great show the kids where so into the show we had about 20 of the hypnotized and of course doing some crazy hypnotic things.


Looking at my schedule, I am so glad I have had time off during the first part of the year as it is none stop now till the end of November. So check out this blog weekly for updates and see where I have been and gone.

Iqaluit Nunavut

Just got back from Iqaluit and spent the last 4 days in this artic outpost entertaining the locals. This has been my 3rd trip in the last 4 years to this incredible place and nothing has changed. The locals are still smiling and happy even thou the weather is always COLD! You either like it or you don’t, living and working here is not for everyone.

Iqaluit Nunavut, is situated at the northeast head of Forbisher Bay, on southern Baffin Island. In an area long used by the Inuit and their ancestors, it is surrounded by hills close to the Sylvia Grinnell River and looks across the bay to the mountains of the Meta Incognita Peninsula. It is the capital and the largest community in Canada's newest territory, Nunavut. It is also its only city.

After 3 fun shows and a long plane ride back to Calgary I am now getting ready to go back to San Francisco to visit with Julie’s family and pick up the tour bus and start the 2009 grad session.

Country Thunder Day 1

What a great nite at Country Thunder! Started the night of watching Jake Owen and what a great performer, had the crowd going wild. We ended up back stage with the band and got to watch Diamond Rio from stage left with some party girls. Check out the picture below, after the fun. What a mess! Ended up on Troy's bus back stage with a Williams & Ree jamming to the Beatles and other tunes.

Life is good In Florence Arizona

We have been traveling and having fun along the way to California stopping in Florence AZ for Country Thunder, a 4 day music festival starring Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw and of course Julies new favorite band Zac Brown.

This will be the first of 3 festivals this year and I do not have to work this one :) so we will be having lots of late night fun partying with everyone. We are very excited as we no the promoters of this event and they parked our tour bus back stage with comp all access passes. That means lots of fun, pictures coming soon.

Vacation in Fort Lauderdale

We have been doing all the tourist stuff while in Fort Lauderdale and by far the best so far was last night when we took the Jungle Queen River boat and BBQ tour.

It took us on a hour long boat ride thought the river channels of Fort Lauderdale checking out some amazing houses, with there million dollar + yachts docked on their back lawns (amazing amount of money).

We ended up on the jungle island where we got to eat all you can ribs, bbq chicken, shrimp and of course lots of baked beans. After dinner we got treated to a show, and yes check out the picture, Julie was picked from the crowd to participate in the show LOL. We both recommend this tour and thank our new buddy Alfonso the juggler who got us tickets for this fun night. www.junglequeen.com.

Today we went to South Beach in Miami via a boat ride from Fort Lauderdale thru Florida's
amazing intercoastal water ways. This trip took 2 1/2 hours and was well worth it as traffic in Miami is crazy , not to mention finding a parking spot that would not break the bank.

While is south Beach we visited Miami Ink one of my daughters favorite TV shows and of course spent some time on the beach taking in the sun and the sights. By far the best beach was in Clearwater maybe because spring break had started ;) Really this is a great beach if you get the chance stop by and get a tan.

Our trip to Florida is coming to a end and we are now moving on and making our way to California via Huston TX and checking out Country Thunder a festival in Florence, AZ. This makes Julie happy as her favorite band is playing the ZAC BROWN BAND.

Leaving the Gulf coast

We have spent a week exploring the golf side of Florida and our next stop will be Fort Lauderdale on the Atlantic side. During this week we did lots of things from going to the dog beach with Max and Jazz and taking in the sites. The dogs loved the ocean and Max would not get out of the water.

We also took a airboat tour in the everglades as you can see from the picture we had lots of fun :) we saw lots of alligators along the road and Julie did not want me to stop the car, not sure why.

We got to see Ty Pennington say "move that bus" as he opened a new casino in Immokalee FL. We waited for a hour in the hot sun, was it worth it? Lets say I would not do it again. Both julie and I are looking forward to moving our own bus as we have been here now for a month now.

Collier County Fair - Naples

My first fair for 2009 has come to a end and I now start a 5 week vacation. I will first explore Fort Lauderdale Fl and then several other places in the sunshine state.

As for the fair both Julie and I had a great time and we have been invited back for 2010. I had some great people on my stage and would like to thank all that attended my shows. As for Ruben the crazy Mexican sound man "Good Job" it's always nice to work with someone who knows what to do when it comes to sound.

Ron's son what can I say! Watch the video, you was hypnotized and I know you will be in denial for the rest of your life but just enjoy the moment and check out those books I told you about :) It's time to pack up the bus and start my vacation.

In Florida

This will be by far my busiest year to date, with 14 fairs to do it will keep us hopping all over the US and Canada. We have taken on 9 new fairs which of course will take us to 9 new places on our travels.

Right now we are parked with the tour bus in Naples Florida getting ready to start a 10 day fair, it's 6 days away so this gives us some time to explore. Yesterday we went to the beach and took in the sunset (amazing)

That's me with my feet in the sand. We will now follow the sun right till mid November and this makes Julie very happy.

This year we are going to introduce Jazz to the world of being a entertainer. She is only 3 years old but I think she can come out on stage and hypnotize. Max is 4 and he's already getting tired :) both dogs are amazing and both love life on the road.

2009 Whats in store for the show?

My 2009 calendar is now posted and it will be updated as the year goes on. I will keep this blog going for the new year and keep you updated on my 2009 tour.

I spent Christmas with my family in Calgary and boy was it cold (-40) was one of the coldest days, it barely got above freezing. That been said, I am now in Northern California spending time with Julies family for the next week, then onto Sacramento to catch a plane to South Carolina for a trade show.

How stupid is this! I fly back too Sacramento only to start driving across the country to go back to Ladson SC to pick up the tour bus and then head to Naples Florida only to catch another plane back to Calgary for the first off 4 Think and Be Thin seminars. That's life on the road but I love it all the same.

The Year End

We are now back in Calgary and it's how I remember it this time of the year COLD. Both Julie and I enjoyed our long summer tour not only did we get to visit some amazing places but met some great people along the way. Thanks for all the memories!

What is next for the Terrance B show? We are working every weekend now until Christmas. Can I say that word? Yes I can, because I believe in the spirit of Christmas. I still believe there is a Santa don't you?

I am also in the recording studio revamping all my self help CD's and look out for my new one Don't Drink and Drive Cd which will be free for all for download soon on my website.

Come the first of the year we will be heading out to Florida to start seminars on the Think and Be Thin program and will also be doing a fair in Naples FL. The coming year is looking great we have added a couple of new venues Craven Country Festival in July and Medicine Hat Exhibition also in July. In August look for us at The Twin Falls County Fair & Magic Valley Stampede in Twin Falls ID. My calender changes all the time so check out the updated version on my website.

Hypnotist gone wild in Nashville TN

We are in Nashville TN and enjoying some down time before we head out to our last fair in Ladson SC. We have done all the tourist things such as going on a tour of the Grand Old Opry enjoying the night life, checking out the local entertainment.

We also got to meet several stars already from Rick Springfield, Crystal Gale, Darias Rucker, Kenny Loggins, Marty Roe and Jim Messna my favorite was Rick Springfield, yes that's me and Julie with Rick in the picture. I will be posting all the pictures on my website www.terranceb.ca soon.

We will be here for a few more days as we are getting some upgrades done to the the tour bus. I am so excited as it is like a big toy for me :) Anyway before I get back to been a tourist let me say this to everyone in blog world.

If you have never been to Nashville then you must put it on your bucket list whether you like country or not. It's a fun place to be!

Hypnotist Terrance B Where are you?

Wow! it's been awhile since I updated this blog. So what have I been up to and where am I now?

OK, the last fair I did was the Dixie Classic in SC which finished October 12th, and it was a little slower this year compared to last year. We had rain for 2 days which puts a damper on the whole fair, but show attendance was good.

We worked with some fun entertainers this year. Brad from Agricadabra a magic show for kids, Washboard Willy and Wanda a walk about musical act, Zack the crazy pig racing guy, and many more. Looking forward to seeing you guys again on the road soon.

We are now in Nashville attending a conference this will be our first time and we are looking forward to it. We plan to stay for a extra week for a mini vacation and explore this amazing city.

On the road again

Made it to Cincinnati Oh

I spent about a week and drove about 1500 miles to Cincinnati Oh where I will now spend the next 5 days playing golf and visiting with my brother Phil. Julie is still visiting her family on the east coast waiting for the leaves to change color :)

My next stop will be my last fair starting October 3rd for 10 days in NC and then onto Nashville for a trade show and a week long vacation with Julie. (miss you babe) will see you in about a week.

On Vacation and hanging in Salt Lake City

I have started a 3 week vacation and guess what we do? We go to a fair, what's up with that. We stopped by the Utah State Fair to hang with some friends for a few days. Hypnotist Tyzen is performing here and rocks! We are sharing some good grub with our friends Washboard Willy and Wishboard Wanda. We managed to make it here for Donis' birthday....29 right Donis!?

Marcus that funny guy that does tricks is a local of SLC and we got to hang out with him. We also go to meet the Hypno Hick - Shaun Dee. Jerry Frasier is a magician from Minnesota that we met and Marcoux Corner acapella group are performing here. We just shared the stage with these guys in Blackfoot, ID.
Having fun being on vacation and watching you all work hard! Next stop.....Wyoming then Denver, Colorado where Julie boards a plane to Connecticut to visit her birth mom and siblings. She is so excited to spend the rest of September in peak foliage in New England with her newly found family.

Terrance will be driving the bus to visit his brother Phil in Cincinnati, Ohio. Golf, golf, and more golf is on their agenda. Congrats to Marc and Joanna Savard on their new precious girl Genevieve.
